Founder’s Day with Master Su

Master Su ZiFang has been training since age 8. She is the 4th generation descendant of the well-known Bagua Grand Master Sha Guozheng and Wushu Great Grand Master He Fusheng. Master Su has won over 30 gold and silver awards in international competitions. She has served as Singapore’s National Martial Arts Federation Head Coach for the past decade. She is known internationally for her skill in Yang, Chen, Wu, and Sun styles of Taijiquan, Batuazhang, and Xingyiquan.

With over 50 years of sharing her expertise and knowledge with others, Master Su expresses a palpable kindness and generosity in her teaching. She is a beautiful example of grace, power, and confidence in motion. Hand to Hand is very fortunate to celebrate our school’s 34th anniversary, Founder’s Day, with the phenomenal gifts shared by Master Su.

Friday October 17

WUSHU BASICS
(appropriate for everyone interested in Wushu)

Learn proper form and how to manifest correct focus and energy in the external style of Wushu. This high energy class includes kicking practices, stretches and strengthening. This class is challenging and FUN!
Class fee: $45

Saturday October 18
9:00-11:00 AM
YANG STYLE TAIJIQUAN

(appropriate for beginners and those familiar with some taiji)
Yang Style movements are large and open. They help develop balance and strength in the legs. This class is for those familiar with the Yang Style 24 Form as well as those who want to begin learning it.
Class fee: $45

Saturday October 18
12:30-2:30 PM
YANG STYLE TAIJIQUAN – Application
(appropriate for those who have taken the morning class as well as beginners)

Applications for movements from the Taiji 24 Form will be taught. Explore how the movements are used in martial arts practice. Some knowledge of Yang Style movements will be helpful, but is not necessary.
Class fee: $45

Saturday October 18
3:00-4:00 PM
TONG BEI
(appropriate for everyone wanting to improve strength and flexibility)
Special Chinese Exercises emphasizing quick foot work, and movements to improve your core strength, flexibility, and coordination; both externally and internally.
Class fee: $25

Sunday October 19
9:00-11:00 AM
MASTER CLASS-Advanced Coaching for your Form
(appropriate for taiji and martial arts teachers and anyone with knowledge of a taiji or martial arts form)

A rare opportunity to have Master Su review your form and help polish your technique, presentation, alignment, using her 12 Principles Method of Three Straight Ups, Three Levels, and Three Locks and “Focus, Direction, Balance.”
Class fee: $50

Master Su is also available for private lessons on Friday October 17

$150 per hour
